theshack The Shack by William P. Young is perhaps the best Christian fiction ever written! It is an incredible tale of the presence of God in suffering and does more to exlain the complexity of the Trinity than any theological study I have ever read. 41QKVR2M9JLSL160AA115 Donal Miller's modern classic Blue Like Jazz explores non- religious Christian spirituality. It is a touching, insightful and powerful journey that is sure to make you think and your faith to expand.

surprisedbyHS This book explains how Jack Deere, as a conservative evangelical theologian came to believe in the signs and wonders and how he was literally Surprised by the power of the Spirit. This is a well thought out case that is fairly easy to read. surprisedbyVG In this top class book, by the top class author Jack Deere, you will learn how God speaks with people apart from the Bible, though never in contradiction to it. the book begins by describing the ways God revealed his thoughts to first-century Christians. Surprised by the voice of God is a challenging read.

Lewis makes even the most complex theology accessible to us all. 51K5S0N53TLSL160AA115 John Wimber has taught us much about the power of the Holy Spirit to free and to heal. If you would like to understand more about how to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit, Power Healing is a great book.

4155HFNC14LSL160AA115 Richard Foster's Celebration of Discipline is the only book that can make fasting sound really appealing! It is a timeless classic and has helped thousands of people go deeper into the Christian life. A real must read. 41PH4VYZD1LSL160AA115 If you are involved in leadership Bill Hybels has got some great insights and encouragements to share in Courageous Leadership. Although it is a slow starter the last seven chapters are just brilliant and well worth waiting for.

51D2VM3TJVLSL160AA115 As a daily devotional or straight-up read through Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life is a great book. If you were put off by all the publicity a few years ago, do give it another try. This book can really refresh your walk with God, especially if you are an older Christian. 419LZdvqu8LSL160AA115 For guys we really recommend John Eldridge's Wild At Heart. Yes it is a little 'outdoorsy' at times, but you definately get the sense that this has been written for you. A great one to understand God as father and friend, a great gift for dads or brothers.

51H8YBBY2NLSL160AA115 We all struggle to understand God's amazing gift of grace but in this touching modern classic What's So Amazing About Grace? Philip Yancey does a brilliant job of making the complex simple. You can't help but be changed by this great book. 51oFf5VTHCLSL160AA115 If you are passionate about social action or are interested in getting  involved Shane Claybourne's Irresistable Revolution is an inspiration. Yes it is radical, but it will definately build your faith for what God can do in our community.
