We believe that we have access to the God who created the universe. we believe that God is not a silent God, but a living being with whom we can communicate and make requests of.
We believe that through prayer we are having a conversation with God, through and by the power of the Holy Spirit. For us, prayer is the fuel that we run on at St Peter's - and unlike the stuff that we fill up our vehicles with it is free of charge yet it is beyond price.
We often have to pull ourselves up short, because we often make out a shopping list, we often only request for what we want God to do for us. Sometimes this is appropriate and relevant, but sometimes, we need to acknowledge who God is and thank him for what he has done, for whom he is.
We also seek God's healing and restoration during ministry times and want to become mature in prophecy and hearing what god is saying to us by making time for God within our busy lives. we acknowledge that there are so many pressures on us and so many demands upon our time, whether it be the boss at work; the kids at home; the friends we have; the thesis or homework that is overdue; and so the list goes on, but we believe that God gives us strength to see things through and knowing that someone else is praying for us, can be so uplifting, unifying and strengthening.

Currently our weekly church prayer meeting is held on Tuesdays at 9 am. We also hold prayer meetings at 10.00 am prior to the morning service - in the chapel.
You can also post a prayer request - for yourself or for someone else - into the prayer request box at the St. Peter's Medical Practice.
We also offer prayer ministry after each service, no matter what your request maybe, people will be willing to pray with you and for you.
You are more than welcome to come to any prayer meeting that we hold. |
